Omaha Cycling Wknd

TT on Sat morning. Kyle Hoff was 4th in the Cat 4 with a time of 24min 14 sec. Avg'd approx 24.9 mph. I was 12th at 25 min 4 sec.
Bill C got 4th in the Cat 3 with a time of 24 min 24 sec.

Crit: The crit was a challenging course and temps were warm. CPC members represented well but did not manage any podiums. Lance M finished 4th in the cat 5 race.

RR: The road race was changed due to water on the course. It ended up like a NASCARrace as we did from 10-14 laps of a 3.4 mile course. Steve Obrien sprinted for 2nd in the 40+ Masters. Marty was just off the podium in the 50+. Lance sprinted to 4th in the Cat5. I managed 7th in a race that lost several top competitors to crashes. I believe 3 different incidents ended in ambulance rides.

Bill caught an unfortunate stomach bug that caused him to abandon the tour. Get well Bill.

Also, many competitors suffered serious injuries this weekend. Reports have listed injuries as broken collar bones, ribs, cracked hips and a collapsed lung. I wish them all a speedy recovery.
